Bright Oywaya

Bright is a road safety and disability advocate. She is currently the Road Safety
Advocacy Consultant for the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP) in Kenya. She is also the Vice Chairperson of the Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK). Bright has a vast experience in road safety spanning for over two decades. This journey began with her personal tragedy when she was involved in road crash at the beginning of her banking career.

She has been engaged with various organizations at different levels. These include ASIRT Kenya, a road safety NGO, and the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) where she was the Vice Chairperson.

Bright also worked as a member of the Advisory Group to the High Level Panel for the UN Special Envoy for Road safety, Mr. Jean Todt.

Bright has collaborated with governments, NGOs, private sector and International organizations to develop and advocate for policies and initiatives aimed at reducing traffic road crashes and enhancing disability inclusion.
