About the Speaker
Arianne Alcorta

I’m a four-time Emmy-nominated journalist, event moderator, and public speaking coach — with 10+ years of experience reporting live on camera and on stage.

As a journalist, I’ve covered everything from politics and technology to the economy, health, and global affairs. Along the way, I’ve produced viral news explainersdocumentaries, and travel series that take you around Switzerland.

If there’s something I’m really passionate about, is telling a good story, and doing so memorably and creatively!

During the pandemic, when events shifted online, companies were looking for on camera professionals to keep their programming dynamic and engaging throughout long hours. That’s when I first started moderating — using my live reporting skills to bring energy, focus, and structure to virtual panels. Since then, I’ve continued to lead high-profile summits around the world, including Viva Technology, Watches and Wonders, and the UEFA Congress.

Each experience has deepened my understanding of global trends and the power of thoughtful dialogue.

Before venturing into event moderation, I was a main television anchor for CNN Money Switzerland. I also served as a bilingual breaking news correspondent across the U.S. and Europe for NBC Universal.

I grew up across Venezuela, Spain, and the United States, and I now call Switzerland home.

On my spare time, I spread my storytelling expertise by training university students and high-profile executives in strategic public speaking. My participants come from all corners of the globe — from Argentina to Tanzania to New Zealand — making this work incredibly rewarding.

I hold a Master’s degree in Journalism from Columbia University in New York and a certificate in International Relations, Business, and Political Economy from the London School of Economics.
