Sophie Punte

Sophie Punte is a network leader bringing industry, government and other stakeholders together to address common sustainability challenges. She is CEO of a new mission-driven organisation called Life-Links, co-founded in 2024 with Kuehne Climate Center, to build resilient supply chains with a focus on freight and logistics. As founder of Smart Freight Centre with a mission to decarbonize the global freight sector, she played a lead role in the development of the GLEC Framework as the global methodology for emissions accounting and reporting across the multimodal logistics supply chain. She currently holds supervisory board positions with Smart Freight Centre, and with Milence, the truck charging infrastructure company, and sits on DHL’s Sustainability Advisory Council. Previously, Sophie led We Mean Business Coalition’s global policy engagement strategy, was board member of ALICE in Europe, headed Clean Air Asia to reduce urban air pollution from transport and other sources, and worked with the United Nations, New Zealand’s environment ministry, and KPMG, in both developed and developing countries.
