Machteld joined Shell in 1998 and has had several leadership and geographically diverse roles across the Downstream portfolio including Mobility, Strategy, Fleet Solutions, Lubricants and Chemicals and Products. Prior to being appointed President, Downstream, Renewables and Energy Solutions, Machteld was Executive Vice President (EVP), Chemicals and Products, which followed her roles as EVP, Global Lubricants and Senior Vice President, Lubricants Americas, which included being the CEO of Pennzoil Quaker State Company.
