Rubén Lirio is an experienced professional with over 18 years in the cybersecurity industry. His career began after university when he started his own tech company, gaining hands-on experience in both technical and business aspects of the field.

Rubén became an active contributor to several prominent international working groups.

He collaborates with key organizations such as ENISA, ETSI, CTIA, GSMA, and the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA), contributing to the development and
harmonization of global cybersecurity frameworks. His involvement ensures alignment between regulatory needs and industry best practices, particularly in the areas of market analysis, standardization, and certification.

For the past eight years, Rubén has been part of DEKRA, where he leads the
Cybersecurity Testing & Certification team. He is responsible for both the technical leadership of DEKRA’s Cybersecurity Hub and for driving the global business strategy of cybersecurity services. His role combines deep technical knowledge with strong
business insight.
